Long Term International Projects

  • Development and management of long term international projects – example, the Zambia Democratic Governance Project; the South African Capacity Building Project – Tertiary Education Linkage Project (TELP).

Long and Short Term International Training Projects

  • Development of specifically designed programs for emerging democracies and National Governments – Agribusiness and Natural Plant Products.

Exchange Visitor Program – J-I VISA

  • Serves as the compliance office for the system and issues J-1Visas for faculty and student exchanges.

Sponsored Workshops, Programs and Seminars for Faculty

  • Organizes and participates in sponsoring and coordinating sponsored workshops, conferences and faculty development seminars. Example: The International Conference on Public Management, Policy and Development.

Study Abroad Program

  • Encourage and assist departments at all the campuses in the development and implementation of tailor made study abroad programs.

Work with International Students Office

  • Advice and collaborate with the International Student’s Office in the effective delivery of services that benefit our international students.

Involvement of Community Services

  • Work closely with community businesses and organizations as it relates to programs and activities in international development initiatives – African Growth and Community forum recently held at the Agricultural Research and Extension Center.

International Virtual University Concept

  • To bridge the digital divide and knowledge gap by dramatically increasing access to global educational resources.

OBJECTIVES

  • Offer skills training to professionals and contributing to improving skills of labor force.
  • Build the capacity of international tertiary education institutions.
  • Increase access to tertiary and continuing education internationally.
  • Improve the quality of education by offering training and coaching to academics in Caribbean universities.
  • Contribute to bridging the digital divide by improving connectivity in learning centers and hosts universities.
