Southern University-Baton Rouge campus is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the associate, baccalaureate, masters and doctorate degrees.  It has six colleges, three schools and 52 departments offering a wide range of degree programs in the Colleges of Arts and Humanities, Sciences, Business, Agricultural, Family and Consumer Sciences, Engineering, and Education, and Schools of Public Policy and Urban Affairs, Nursing and Architecture. Graduate degree programs include public administration, professional accountancy, computer science, agricultural education, environmental science, mathematics, chemistry, rehabilitative counseling, social sciences, leisure and recreational services, mass communications, biology and education. Doctorate degree programs include special education, environmental toxicology, science and mathematics education, nursing and public policy.
