Elders will be the keynote speaker at the Justice
Revius O. Ortique Jr. Symposium on Law, Politics,
Civil Rights and Justice, set for Wednesday, September
24, 2008.
The theme of this year's symposium will be "The Health of a Nation," a debate on whether health insurance is a right or a privilege. The symposium will challenge attendees to take a transparent view of the country's health insurance system.
The program, open to students, faculty, alumni and the general public, will offer up to 6 1/2 hours of CLE credits.
In two panel discussions and an afternoon debate, program participants
will voice their thoughts on this issue that has spurred
discussions throughout political and legal arenas.
