Southern University graduate student Ashley Scott was one of the youngest delegates at the Democratic National Convention in Denver on August 25-28. Scott was chosen to be an at-large delegate for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama at a May Democratic Party gathering held in Baton Rouge.

With healthcare, education, and gas prices at the top of her list of priorities, Scott represented the concerns of the young people.

Scott appeared on WAFB’s “9 News This Morning” Friday, August 22 and left for Denver two days later.
